Two minors rescued – two traffickers arrested
HELP rescued two minor girls (age 15 and 17years) in chilakaluripet town Guntur district on 1st October 10 through police.
HELP got information by community volunteers. That Mr. Satyam (23years) and Ms. Pavani (24years) luring the orphan and semi-orphan minors and exhausted them into prostitution since a long period.
Ms. xxxx (15years) who lost her mother during her birth and joined in a residential school cum hostel run by a Christian missionary at Ongole by her father at the age of 6 years. Later after some time she lost her father too. Now she is in 10th standard, six months back she happened to go to her long relative house at Chilakaluripet. The perpetrators met the girl and trapped her towards prostitution by misguiding her with a pretext of luxurious life. Since then the perpetrators used to send the girl to various places like.. Vijayawada, Guntur and Hyderabad etc., on contact basis.
Ms. Xxx (17 years) is a illiterate girl. And came from a poor family. Mother is bedridden with severe health problems and father is an alcoholic. The girl used to go for daily wages and earning a meager sum. With this only income she is meeting her family expenditure. One of the traffickers Ms. Pavani residing adjacent to the girl. Hence it became easier to trap the girl. Trafficker convinced both girl and father too by luring that they can get more money within short period and can marry with a sound person. Since then the girl also used to sent by the perpetrators to different places on contact basis.
HELP came to realize the issue and bring to the notice of the police, carried out a decoy operation. Mr. Mohan Rao- DSP and Mr.A.Srinivas- CI took lead this rescue operation. VRO, ICDS and HELP staff participated in this operation and rescued the girls. The case booked under IPC 372, 373 and 376, ITPA 3,4,5 & 6.
